Judith's pictures of the Junior Church display for "May the road rise up to meet you" reminded me of these photos I took in Ireland last year.
We drove into a viewpoint on the Wild Atlantic Way and stayed the night there along with a couple of other motor homes. This "road" marked with the arrows really did seem to rise up out of the sea. Yes I know really that it was the tide that went out and it was interesting watching it happen. The car driving across had waited at least half an hour for a water clear route.
The road was literally the sand. It looked firm but we did not risk it.
