The Methodist Church requires its ministers to take a 3 month sabbatical every 7 years as a time of physical and spiritual refreshment. During this time the minister is relieved of all their usual duties and takes the opportunity to do things they wouldn’t otherwise have time and space to do. Roger is on sabbatical leave from 17 April to 9 July including a pilgrimage to the Holy Land during May.
